hardwoodist.com is operated as a personal project by a single individual based in Raleigh, North Carolina. This page explains what the site collects when you visit, why, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect
- If you sign in: your name, email address, and avatar URL — provided by Google or Discord through OAuth. We do not see or store your password.
- If you become a Founding Member: Stripe processes your payment. We never see your card number. We receive a payment confirmation that includes your email and the amount charged, which we use to mark your account as paid.
- If you visit any page: Cloudflare Web Analytics records anonymous, cookieless traffic patterns (page views, country, referrer). No personal identifiers are collected by analytics.
- Auth session cookie: a single first-party cookie keeps you signed in. No tracking cookies are set.
Who else sees your data
The site relies on a small number of service providers: Google or Discord (for sign-in), Stripe (for payment), Auth.js (for session management), Cloudflare (for DNS and analytics), and Railway (for hosting). Each handles only the data needed for its function and is bound by its own privacy terms.
We do not sell your data, trade it, or share it with third parties for advertising.
Your rights
You can request access to the data we have about you, correct it, or delete your account entirely. Email us at the address on the contact page and we’ll respond within a reasonable window.
Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, identifying data is removed. Payment records may be retained as required by tax and accounting obligations.
Changes
If this policy meaningfully changes, the date at the top of this page will update. Material changes will also be noted in a Dispatch.
